About the Artist
Trephina Bradley (née Douglas) is a Tagalaka Traditional Owner from Croydon in Far North Queensland and the founder of TrephinaJ Arts. Her work is deeply inspired by Country, ancestral pathways, and the living memory held within the land, expressed through pattern, movement, and layered storytelling. Each piece reflects water, journeys, and the guardians of Country across past, present, and future.
Through TrephinaJ Arts, Trephina creates original artworks and culturally appropriate creative products, building a sustainable Indigenous-led practice grounded in cultural responsibility and respect for Country. Her work extends beyond fine art to share Indigenous stories in accessible and meaningful ways, while maintaining cultural integrity.
